Namita Mehta is a Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 11 years experience.
Namita completed her undergraduate degree in India in 2007, followed by the completion of her Masters Degree in Manual and Sports Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia in 2009. She has worked in hospitals, has extensive work history in private practices and tutored at University of South Australia’s School of Physiotherapy for 4 years. This also included time working as a research assistant. She is Currently a Tutor with Specialist Sports physiotherapist Trish Wisbey Roth on her courses for Cervical and Thoracic Treatment.
Namita’s treatment methods include manual therapy in conjunction with Pilates and Exercise based treatment . She has a strong emphasis on educating her patients and exercise rehabilitation and has a very nurturing manner. Her Speciality is in treating headaches, cervical /thoracic / low back & lower limb injuries. She also has a keen interest in adolescent sports injury prevention/ management & growing pains , adolescents involved with sports such as hockey ,basketball, gymnastics, football & soccer. In the last few years, Namita has had the opportunity to travel as the Sports Physiotherapist for a number of Hockey and Basketball teams at National and International level working with various age groups. She also worked as the Sports and Physiotherapist with the VFL team – Coburg Lions for 2018-19.
In her down time, Namita loves getting out into nature, hiking, playing squash, travelling and getting lost in a good book! A glass of wine and spending time friends with is her remedy for relaxing from such a busy schedule.
